Frequently asked questions

Why it pays for itself

What am I actually paying for?
You are paying for a filter you could not build on your own. Premium market-data feeds run into hundreds of dollars a month. Every evening after the US close, the system reads the whole US market, 12,000+ names, and only the handful that survive years of testing get surfaced. Then a team of experienced traders looks at what is left before anything reaches you. You get the finished read for the price of a subscription.
How is this different from free stock tips on Twitter or Reddit?
A free tip is usually one person guessing on one name. Here, every idea starts from data across the entire market and years of history, gets stress-tested against past crashes, then passes through experienced eyes before it ships. You see why a name shows up and where the risk sits, so you make your own call instead of trusting a stranger.
Is it just an algorithm, or does a human decide?
Both do the part they are good at. The machine scans 12,000+ names every night and ranks them, which no person could do by hand. Then a team of experienced traders reviews what the machine flags and makes the final call on what deserves your attention. You get the reach of software with the judgment of people who have traded through real markets.
What does the data cost you to run?
More than most readers expect. We run on premium, paid market-data feeds, the kind that cost hundreds of dollars a month, plus the compute to scan the full market every single day. That is the point of a subscription: you share the cost of an institutional-grade setup instead of carrying it alone.
How do I know it works?
Nothing here rides on a fairy-tale track record. Every signal has to survive years of history, out-of-sample data it was never tuned on, and thousands of randomized simulations before it is allowed to flag a name. We also track our idea baskets in the open so you can watch how they age. Treat it as a strong tool to think with, then check the chart and size it for your own risk.

Using it day to day

How many ideas do I get, and how often?
The dashboard refreshes every evening after the US close, so there is fresh, ranked output every trading day. You are never forced to act. Some days a setup is worth your attention, some days the best move is to wait, and the system tells you which is which.
Is this day trading or swing trading?
Swing trading. The edge is built for a one to two week horizon, in markets that are not falling apart. It suits someone who checks in once a day rather than someone glued to a one-minute chart.
What markets and instruments does it cover?
US stocks and their options. The engine scans the full US equity universe, and where an idea fits an options trade you get the levels to play it. No crypto, no forex, no penny-stock noise.
Will you tell me when to take profits or cut?
Every idea is framed around risk first: where you are wrong, and the reward against that risk, before the upside. Paste your holdings into the Positions tab and you get a read on each one, trim, hold, add or cut, with levels. The final decision stays yours.
Do I need a big account or a special broker?
No. Any standard brokerage works, and the ideas scale to whatever size you trade. Position sizing is part of the read, so a smaller account can follow the same logic with smaller bets.
Is this for beginners?
It is written in plain English and explains the why behind every name, so a motivated beginner can follow along and learn fast. It does assume you will do your own homework on each idea. If you have never placed a trade, start small and read the Method page first.

Account & logistics

How do I log in?
Enter the email of your subscription on the sign-in page. We send a one-time link. Click it and you are in for 30 days. No password to remember.
How do I change or cancel my subscription?
Everything is managed on Substack, where you subscribed. Open Substack ↗ to update your card, pause or cancel any time.
Why is some data hidden?
The names, levels and full screeners are for subscribers. Free visitors see how the system works and a small sample, enough to judge it before joining. Subscribe ↗
How fresh is the data?
It refreshes every evening after the US close. Each page shows the data date with a green "Live data" badge, and it turns red on its own if a run ever falls behind, so you never act on stale numbers without knowing. More on the method →
Is this financial advice?
No. It is a research tool to think with. It is not personalized advice, so always check the chart and size every trade for your own risk.
